any inside infos about pono

apparently it's all about resolution. I always thought 44.1 khz would be sufficient for recording purposes?
CD lossless quality recordings (44.1 kHz/16 bit): About 5000 tracks.
High-resolution recordings (48 kHz/24 bit): About 3200 tracks.
Higher-resolution recordings (96 kHz/24 bit): About 1600 tracks.
Ultra-high resolution recordings (192 kHz/24 bit): About 800 tracks.

It's strange. My brother told me about that Neil Young idea a year ago, and it was supposed to "sound like vinyl".
Now it's only a lossless format player. No talk about dynamics in productions or anything.
Atleast they have space for larger components. Hope it has a very good DA converter atleast.
It's kinda funny how 15000 persons pledged there 5.000.000 dollar while the gvst guy didn't get his 3500 for a mac :(
