It's really a pity that MySpace has no basic editing tools available. All is done in HTML, CSS and similar webdesign techniques and I'm certain most of the people don't quite understand what to do with it, cause it's after all a form of programming.

oh but you can use template help page, if you google "myspace layout" you can find the assistant sites easily

First you have to make an account. Once you have it then choose the display name (if it's not taken) and be careful since once chosen it stick with you until the account's deleted.

I´ts says that you can chance your display name but not url:

on your home page click on edit profile (next to your photo) when the window opens up you should get a row of tabs appear including one which says name, click on it then click on the red edit button which appeares in the box thatcomes up and at the bottom of the screen (hope this helps)
