I am going to go out on a limb and say that jdelpi does I feel the same as Carcassian. I love Neil Peart and the band but as soon as Geddy opens his mouth, it just kills it for me.
I have it, but haven't watched it yet. I did dig "Rush In Rio" out of the cabinet, and was grooving to that last week. I happen to love Rush - think that Geddy would be a fascinating interview - though their recent studio efforts left me kinda wanting more.
Whiplash - just my opinion, but if you want one of their most underrated albums, pick up either A Farewell To Kings or Grace Under Pressure. I happened to like Roll The Bones as well.
I prefer the Rio DVD. It's bettter shot and the crowd are crazier. The documentary is also great. Saying that, the second disc of R30 has some really good archive stuff. If you're into Rush, you'll dig it.

The video and sound quality on R30 is SOOO much better than Rush in Rio, but Rio was obviously a better, more memorable gig. With that you feel like you're watching an important moment in Rush history, whereas R30 is just another gig on the tour. (With a bit larger than average size audience.)
