Any of you guys know how to automate program change commands in cubase 5?

I know this is probably the wrong forum to ask, as theres probably not alot of synth guys here.

But I'm trying to get my Native Instruments Massive and FM8 plugins to change through their set of program patches in a live situation

Basically I want to be able to play live through the plugin and have cubase automate the program changes to switch patches automatically.
Anybody know a way to do this?


I can manually switch the program presets with a mouse om this control, but it wont write automation for that command.

Stumped here guys, I know theres a way!

Got it figured out!!! Necromancer (Jon From Wormwood Prophecy) helped me out on the phone.

You open up your midi editor then
Midi - Open List Editor
change your insert type on the top bar to "Program Change"
then you draw in your changes!!

did you try the normal way you do automation? put the green "R" and red "W" on, then change the preset on the fly?
