I like Opeth. They are a band that broadened my musical listening appreciation, and I haven't seen them do anything that will make me change my mind about them, but I am not a 'freak' about them.
I might sell one kidney for their upcoming album, but not both kidneys
I can't stop broadening my musical horizons, and anyway, I go through stages where I like only a certain type of music (but that is occuring less and less)

I have played Orchid about 20-30 times through now and I can say that I really enjoy their music. I'm planning to get their 2nd album soon (I like to get through discographies chronologically).

But to the original question I have to say that I'm not a type of guy who falls in love with first sight.
