Anyone ever heard of Haggard?

I let a friend of mind borrow the Opeth DVD and he showed it to his nephews who are 17-18 and they were blown away. His nephews are into Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, etc... They had heard of Shadows Fall and I let them borrow my Shadows Fall DVD and told them to watch the Testament/Live In London DVD. Needless to say they are big Opeth and Testament Fans now. I'm turning them onto Nevermore through Enemies Of Reality. Anyway, my friends nephews had a mix C.D. that a friend of theirs had and it has Opeth songs like "Hope Leaves" , "To Rid The Disease", "Demons Of The Fall" etc... and a band called Haggard. to me Haggard reminds me of Amorphis or a "death-metal" Kansas. Classical/Medieval/Metal. Very interesting.

Haggard is pretty good...Their stuff gets a little boring at times, and his guitar tone is pretty bad, but overall I like it a lot

I like them quite a bit. I have their DVD and a shirt I found on ebay a year or two ago for like 6 bucks. Awesome.

yes yes yes, haggard is the shit. i like to compare it to the "string quartet" of metal music. its real intimate. even though the guitar distortion is rather hollow, the choirs, orchestra, and female/death vox flow very smoothly.
