West Burbs of Chicago
I was there last night.
Testament sounded great.
My only complaint would be the order of the songs in the set.

They started off with:
- Over The Wall
- The New Order
- Practice What You Preach

Then they did three songs in a row from the new album.

I think at a show like this, Testament needs to realize that the majority of the fans are most likely only familiar with their classic material.

That's not to say they shouldn't have played those 6 songs.

I think they should have mixed up the old and new throughout, and definitely end with a more known tune, like "Practice"

The crowd was totally into the first half of the set, but they lost them with the three new tunes. Not that they didn't sound good, just that the crowd was not familiar with them.

Well they're touring in support of Formation, so you can't blame them!

But they do need to end with Disciples or some classic like that. I'm sure they'll expand and make it all right during their headlining shows.

I had no problem with playing three songs from the new album.
I just think the set order should have been changed.
The crowd was hit in the face with three classics.
The momentum died down when they played the new stuff.
Nothing against the new stuff, but when you are playing on a tour like this, you have to know that a LARGE majority of the older metal crowd is only familiar with the old stuff.
