Anyone got ATL deluxe yet?

Still not instore here in Oz at JB Hifi or other local stores.

I spoke to Marion JBs and the guys said you'd have to order it in as they're not getting it by default. :( Not sure about other stores.....

Spoke to Muses (Rundle Mall) and they said it's coming in either this week or next week.

Can't wait!

I saw the NFV DVD here in Oz the other day actually but I will hold out for the ATL Remaster. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Yeah saw a copy of that at Muses too!! Just in case you haven't seen, JBs have copies of the BBC doublie live cd. Picked that up but still waiting for the ATL to come in.

Hi,
hard to say whether ATL remaster was worth the wait and price...album does not sound that much better - of course songs are still great - and I think that quality of NFV is even worse than on my VHS copy. Sorry Charlie but you should have put a little more effort to this.

The rumors are true, Anthrax's masterpiece - "AMONG THE LIVING" - is coming at you larger, louder, hairier and with more colorful jams shorts than ever. It's got remastered tracks, DVDs, alternate intros... everything but Capt. Trips! Kinda like the redone Star Wars movies except the special effects don't suck

well, so the album doesn't sound as bloody hell :erk:? anyway, still waiting from amazon

well...ATL is so deep in my spinal cord that I'm not sure whether my brains are processing this new version at all...:)

The sound is really no different at all. It's just mastered louder. Doesn't even sound like they did any EQing or compressing at all - they just cranked it up and limited the peaks so that it doesn't clip.

It's a whole lot better than how it was before though

All of the old CDs from Anthrax's Island days were always low volume-wise

Plus the sound is a little more clear here

The Alternate Leads are interesting but I'm in no rush to crank them up (in comparison to the album versions)

Yeah. I went through and made the back catalog louder before I converted them to MP3s for my personal collection though. So everything on my hard drive is already remastered :)

Sound quality I was disappointed, when Charlie said it was going to be remastered I figured they would actually try and improve the sound not just raise the levels up.Granted there is only so much you can do with 20 year old masters but I figured it would go the way that Mustaine did with Megadeths back catalog. But as I said before, just for the alternative takes of the songs I found it well worth the money.

I'd love to see them truly remaster STD and SOE. POT is good as is, and has truly withstood the test of time

Got the ATL remaster from Muses a couple of days ago \m/. $45. I'm really disappointed with the picture quality of NFV. Grainy as fuck. I put in my other dvd copy of it which I bought 6 months ago (also from Muses) and its great in comparison. Strange, but not cool.

Ok Timmy. I have actually held off getting it so I will just go and buy the NFV DVD which I did see in Muses the other week.

Thanks for the heads up.

Wont be the worst $35 you'll ever spend! I take it you haven't picked up the ATL deluxe as yet?
