Anyone have a playlist that consists of... Opeth only?

shit thread. there needs to be an iq test for new registrations...the lack of intelligence of some new members is astounding. I can't wait for you to make the 9868950th "IS GR CONCPT ALBM!?" thread. no wonder anybody who was ever worth anything left (ie nfu)

LOL at compact disks. Get with the times. Ever heard of an MP3 player?

Apparently not.

I have an mp3 player and it is of valuable use to me. the fact is that I still don't have a separate playlist for every opeth album on a computer, and cannot fathom why anybody would even bother to put forth the effort to do so when you can just pop in the cd, that you bought, of the album you'd like to listen to.

nice triple post, by the way.

What effort is involved? Anyone with basic computer knowledge could do it in less than 10 minutes.

Your argument is pointless.

I've only burned one for a friend of all the somewhat friendly songs they have to offer...to turn them to the dark side of music heh heh heh

I have iTunes playlists for all my favorite bands and solo artists that consist of everything I have of theirs in order by album. It makes it easier to sort through and find what albums I want to listen to than wading through the days of music in my "all" playlist. I have separate classical and jazz playlists, too, though I haven't gotten around to breaking those down by composer/performer. Opeth is one of my favorite bands, so they have their own playlist. All I have to do is click "Opeth" and there's their catalog.

I have made a "mellow and medium heavy Opeth songs" playlist which I wanted to give to my father to make him see the greatness of Opeth. But I haven't given it to him yet, because the chance he'll dig the heavy stuff (even the medium heavy songs) is pretty low.

I also made one "best of Opeth" playlist, but I haven't listened to it yet.

Other than that I'm not a playlist kinda guy. I like music libraries. In my iTunes and iPod i can choose the music i want to hear by album, by artist, by genre, by search criteria and the like. No need to make extra playlists for bands or albums. However, if you use an mp3 player (hardware or software) which doesn't support such library features i understand that it might help to have such playlists.

Same here, why would I spend time on making playlists if it's all easy to find in my music library on my computer or iPod ... but then, I'm a person who feels like listening to something specific and then puts that on, rarely if ever listen to stuff randomly to see what comes on.
And furthermore, listening to a mix of all Opeth songs seems very pointless for me, as I listen to the albums as a whole as well ... but I guess whatever works best for everyone.

But please do quit the childlike behaviour ... I should have left this board some time ago as well, but occasionally some more interesting discussion pop up right at the time when I decide to leave.
