Man that song is awesome. Jeff Keith sounds more like Robert Plant than Robert Plant on the soft stuff and sounds like Jeff on the heavy stuff. That is one of the best covers I have ever heard in my life.....

How is the new cover release as a whole? Saw it Wal-mart and it looked pretty interesting. Kind of disapponted you have to buy a concert ticket to get access to get the 2nd disc as I probably wouldn't have the time to get to the show and probably couldn't convince anyone to go with me anyway.

I'm generally NOT a fan of covers but this release has changed that view. It's an awesome record. For starters, nearly all of the songs they chose to cover are classics...UFO, Uriah Heep, The James Gang, Thin Lizzy, Robin Trower, Traffic, etc....just one great 70s classic rock track after another.

If you like Tesla - or any 70s blues-based hard rock - this is a MUST!

get this covers album. other than the def leppard and aerosmith cover albums released a year or 2 ago this is the best covers album i've ever heard

I just dl'd a few songs off this last night. Personally, cover cds are almost always bad, except for maybe a song or two. Even then, I listen, and put them away forever. There is a better chance I'd frequently listen to a tribute cd, or at least enjoy a higher % of the tracks.

meh, I didn't think they did it (Zep) justice. Great White does it much better, live no less, from the Great Zeppelin cd. Keith's "Plant" pales in comparison to Russell's.

I'm not much of a Tesla fan after the first two albums, but that really has nothing to do with my opinion of this.....

I do like Great White's too...
I think they are both equally as good, in different ways... Do you have the Great Zeppelin disc where they (Great White) did an entire Zeppelin set? That was fantastic.

I will admit that "Babe I'm Leaving You" is probably in my top five of all-time covers, not just Zep's. The first time I heard it, my jaw dropped to the floor. However, I still like Tesla's cover too.

I totally agree. The weird thing - and I don't know why - is that song (Babe I'm Gonna Leave You) is not on the Great Zeppelin cd!?!?
