Anyone here is a fan of Blind Guardian???

If you like Blind Guardian, then you`ll love Phoenix Rizing, a norwegian melodic powermetalband which have released two albums, Rise from the ashes and Eternal crusade. Do yourself a favour and check them out! Recently they`ve changed both singer and name, and will from now on be known as HIGHLAND GLORY!

Yeah, I haven't heard much of Power metal either, but I managed to get one Blind Guardian's album in my hands and I have to say it's very good :) I probably should get more.

Tjänare :D Well, I don't know how good album that is compared to the others...I have Tales from the twilight world....I like it......

I see!
I think the later albums are better!
Everything from "Tales From..." and forward!
They are better musically, they're more
"mature" and more "majestic" somehow!

Blind Guardian...what album(s) would you recommend from them? :)

nightfall in middleearth.
great album with a lot (A LOT) of vocals and a whole lot of guitars and a whole lot of everything this album is so much of anything (and a million choirs and hell knows what else). musically it's their most "progressive" one referring to brutalizers "maturity", "bla"

err, yep. of course it has the best topic a "power" metal [or fantasy metal or blablabla] album could have: our beloved sillmarillion. :)

that's the cutest avatar i've ever seen in the last three lives [don't remember the rest too good]. clap clap clap

Greetings.

Ooh yes I am a fan ; in fact this band is the first one that made me interested in metal. The first album I've heard is amazing and is one of my two favorites of the band : "Somewhere Far Beyond" (wich is the studio album between "Tales from..." and "Imaginations from the other side"). This one is very thrashy but oh so good. The mix between accoustic guitar and electric guitar is what makes this band so unique, that and the very powerful choruses. Very majestic indeed.

So Zeanra, I'd recommend Somewhere Far Beyond as you liked Tales from... and then I'd go for Nightfall in Middle-Earth. VERY powerful as well.

Wee, so many replies, thank you :) I'll have to go and see if I could find some of those...
@terria: You mean my avatar...? Cute..? Unfortunately that's not me... :p
