Nope, but my thoughts go out to those folks. I can't believe some people still consider staying in New Orleans, and "waiting it out." I guess it's a bit more complex when you have lived your whole life there, but man...If I was a resident, I would have been out so damn fast.

It very well CAN hit Houston... but ya never know. Seems we'll just catch some after effects and not the full force of it.

Not even a drop of rain out of Gustav in Houston. It seems New Orleans really dodged a bullet this time as well. All eyes are now on Ike, way out there in the Atlantic. But this is just typical life on the U.S. gulf coast in August/September.

I know we've got some people on the board in Florida, probably keeping their eyes on Hannah right now.

Thank god it didnt... otherwise I wouldnt have been able to see Twisted Sister kick everyone's ass.

They're still in the process of fixing them. Not scheduled for completion until 2011 (I hope I'm quoting correctly). Although many levies have been "upgraded". Also, this storm didn't make a direct hit on New Orleans. But the did catch the dirty side (east side). Luckily, it didn't pack as much rains as it could have, and the storm surge wasn't any higher.

Oh really, because what I said was on topic towards your thread that left little to no discussion at all anyway.

I believe the title is...

anyone in this forum affected by gustav?

which is essentially a yes or no question. If anything his post about my post being worthless is the only worthless post here because it has nothing to do with the topic and it's a pathetic attempt to flame me.

If this was an act to pick on the new guy... nice try.
