Hey guys,

I've been listening to a lot of these new hardcore albums coming out lately that have glitchy stutter effects either on the guitars or vocals (e.g. new Memphis May Fire, Fit For a King etc.) I know Chango does it a lot and I'm pretty sure i've heard it on Joey's productions as well.

I know about iZotope Stutter Edit and Glitch. However, I would like to be able to manually do it in Pro Tools. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. :Spin:

if you're just wanting simple stutters, start off with taking the first part (8th,16th etc.) of the part you want to stutter, delete the audio until you want the stutter to end, and copy the first part in the rhythm you want it to stutter. If you want to add more effects to the stutter, try automating pitch shifts, filters etc.

Reading this back, it sounds well confusing haha, but it's pretty simple. Hope you understand.

depending on what daw you are using... but it's all the same, really.
