I asked myself if given the chance, would I download the rest of WCFYA. I already have the promo songs, but I do not want the rest. Cranking songs you've never heard before on the car ride home from the music store sounds like a plan. Anyone with me?

Fuck that. Nice but naive. That worked thru the 80's when I waited w/ anticipation for a record to come out, but hell I've been getting stuff early for years. Why stop now. I'm still going to buy the fucking record so who cares. I've gotten promo's of everything Anthrax have done since 1993, so why stop getting early copies now. It just so happens that I may download it. Big Deal.

you know I am gonna buy more then just one copy of this album, I have everything thrax has put to disk, and I have been waiting for a fricking year for a release date. I deserve to get it a little early. I cannot wait anymore.

yep this is the first anthrax release that i have had the internet, time to play catchup and get in a little early lol!!!

audiogalaxy was good for new albums before there release date,i got down 2 months before it came out.

maybe if anthrax were putting out albums every 2 years i could be a little more patient lol

The waiting is the hardest part.

Call me gay, but I think if I downloaded the whole thing, I'd regret it when the album finally comes out.

There'd be no surprise. Downloading the whole thing would be like when a child secretly opens all his Christmas presents to see what they are, then re-wraps them. And then there's no excitement for Christmas.

On one hand, I know where Ty is coming from, but on the other hand, I think it'd spoil the day the album comes out.

Remember back before MP3s? How fucking stoked you were when you'd buy a new album that you've been waiting for?
I remember when I bought Volume 8. I bought the album, and put it in the CD player of my truck in the parking lot. That was the first time I heard "Crush", "Catharsis", etc. And I fucking loved it! I was stoked.

I think if I download the whole album before it's release, I'll be pissed at myself later.

good point thraxdude,if i can get jap release through hmv soon enough i might stick with that idea, then again maybe i wont lol.

there is nothing like getting your hands on a new album and just sitting in the loungeroon soaking it all up

ususally takes me about 5 listens to get into the thtax.

To me, it still makes no difference. like you said, you remember the first time you heard Crush and Catharsis, etc. Well, downloading early, I still have memories of hearing it for the first time and I am equally as surprised. I am just surprised earlier than you are :) granted, I dont have the artwork yet. But sometimes I like hearing music without artwork, simply because sometimes artwork gives you preconcieved notions...but I'm definatly buying it. never thought of not buying it. it fuckin rules.

my wife found out that i had ordered it from hmv.com & it supposed 2 be shipped out the 4th of feb. & when she asked about it,i told her it was a b-day gift(since i told her i wouldnt buy off the net 4 awhile since ive been going nuts on it lately,$600).then she tells me im not getting it until then.my b-day is march 14th lol

To each his own, I say....

I have the promo downloaded, and I was going to troll around and attempt to get the rest. But, now I think I am going to wait. I have mine preordered from hmv.

Plus I am going to buy the American version.

I figure in a few weeks I will have the joy of owning the new record, and I am going to wait until then to hear the rest!!!

Keep drinking Blatz & watching the skies!

There's nothing better than unpacking a CD of your favorite artist and putting it in your cd player for the first time... checking out artwork, lyrics and pics... I think I'll preach the abstinence on downloading the whole thing and go and buy the cd when it's finally out; we've waited almost 5 years... what are 2-3 more months?

Peace!
