Anything worth buying by mastodon?

I think this is a band you need to hear for yourself, everyone seems to have a very different opinion on 'em.
Personally I like Blood Mountain a lot, but that's about it.

I own Crack the Skye, Leviathan and Blood Mountain and I probably enjoy them in that order as well. That said they are all great albums. Never really listened to remission though and from the few chances I gave the hunter it was a let down to me.

The first three albums are great, since then they've gone too proggy for my liking. The Hunter does have some good stuff on it though. They need to stop trying to sing. Troy Sanders has a great booming yell/roar. If they want to be a progressive band they should get a proper vocalist and leave him to do backups.
