I like lack Sabbath and Manowar and stuff, but certain styles require speed fueled adrenaline phsycosis. You can't mosh to sabbath.

Are you saying this because that's your opinion of their new album after listening to it a few times (less likely) or because you're assuming everything DevilDriver has done sucks merely because Dez was in Coal Chamber (more likely)?

no i have the new devil driver and listened to it twice. the arch enemy album is better and again, that isnt saying much. devil driver, even their new album, is horrible IMO.

That may have been me. Personally I think that's one of their weakest.

I like Stigmata a lot but the production kills it. I don't want raw with that kind of music. It's possible that I have a really shitty rip of that one though, so I don't want to pass judgement too far...

I was bored by this album.

I was very bored by past Arch Enemy albums. So I wont even try this one. Never got why so many 14 year olds were into Arch Enemy.

Sunn is doing something that is totally different from Arch Enemy. It is not the best thing to compare my liking of Sunn with Arch Enemy. They are to totally different bands with different sonic agendas.

It just seems to me that Arch Enemy are just writing the same boring record over and over again.

really, i dont see why youd think its weak. i mean, listen to silver wing, the best ae song ever written. this like 4 riff changes in the first 1:30 of the song...keeps it fresh. angel claw is awesome, too. but the entire album is an awesome collection of rather unorthodox riffs. a classic.

stigmata is great too. some say (mike amott included) that it's the worst ae album....i think its awesome. just not near the other.

The songwriting on Stigmata is probably technically the weakest along with WoS, but Stigmata may be their most technical album. It has that thrown together sound but it's cool in a sense because you hear something new every time you listen to it.

This album has amazing guitar work and amazing production but it still does have its fair share of shitty parts. Songwriting isn't 100% perfect.
