West Burbs of Chicago
Honey, You’re a Nazi

Soccer mom hatred
Soccer mom hatred
Blame on the Muslims
Blame on the Jews
Honey you're a Nazi!

We talked for a while
you seemed to be a nice person
Caring, loving, mother of two
Then you began to rave about overpopulation
and how good more wars could do

Soccer mom hatred
Soccer mom hatred
Blame it on the Muslims
Blame it on the Jews
Honey, you're a Nazi
Soccer mom hatred
Soccer mom hatred
Blame it on the Hispanics
Blame it on the Hindus
Honey you're a Nazi!

Usually starts on a small scale
The profile fits splendidly
You spook people with a tunnel vision
Celebrating Arian superiority
No, I don't care for another cookie

Soccer mom hatred
Soccer mom hatred
Blame it on the Muslims
Blame it on the Jews
Soccer mom hatred
Soccer mom hatred
Blame it on the Hispanics
Blame it on the Hindus
Honey You're a Nazi!

No love mosque or sinagogue
Is being built near you
could all that brown shirt
Get down to reach a doubt of you

Honey you're a Nazi!

Your husband lost his job the other day
Company downsizing for efficiency
But you see through whatever they say
It's all an evil conspiracy of blacks and the gay community
No, I don't care for another cookie

Soccer mom hatred
Soccer mom hatred
Blame it on the Muslims
Blame it on the Jews
Soccer mom hatred
Soccer mom hatred
Blame it on the Hispanics
Blame it on the Hindus
Honey You're a Nazi!

Never underestimate
The power of maternal hate

Blame it on the Japanese
Blame it on the Lebanese
Honey You're a Nazi!

The closest song, thematically, that resembles Honey, You're a Nazi, is the song Becky, from the Organic album. But the rest of Freak Kitchen's lyrical content isn't necessarily that theme of racism. There's a lot of tongue-in-cheek and satire in their lyrics, which is part of the reason I enjoy them so much.

Tongue in cheek is a good term for their lyrics.

That may be true (I've never known any FK lyrics before this), but it's certainly not a good term for *these* lyrics!

tongue-in-cheek: characterized by insincerity, irony, or whimsical exaggeration

I don't find any insincerity or irony in these lyrics...I get the feeling that the writer *truly* doesn't like racists, not that he's making fun of people who don't like racists.

As for the original question, if you're truly curious about other Freak Kitchen lyrics, wouldn't it have been far more informative to, I dunno, use the Internet?

I am partial to this one

I am into showbiz, I am a road manager
D'ya know a sexy chick? I got a pass for her
Touring can be boring, but not for me
You got to entertain yourself, I got a special hobby:

I fuck with the support band, I remember when
We had a shitty little group, called "Freak Kitchen"
I'm always in the mode for, let's say, any kind of dope
I asked the drummer if he wanted some, but he said "nope"

Well I couldn't believe what I just heard
The drummer of this group was this astonishing nerd
The singer and guitarist and the bass player as well
If I only had the guts I'd tell em: go to hell!

Instead I turned around and asked a guy from the crew
To go and get a girl that we all can screw
You see, I an asshole and a real hypocrite
And my wife and kids don't know hippo-shit

I rather be a jerk, than being hip like you
I rather be a jerk, than do the shit you do
I rather be a jerk, than snort 'til I turn blue
I rather be a jerk, I rather be a jerk

An orgy a day keeps the Mrs away
I'm a road manager in a giant ashtray
And when my conscience knocks on the door
I bury myself in horse as a cure
And a prostitute, then I shoot some more

I rather be a jerk, than being hip like you
I rather be a jerk, than do the shit you do
I rather be a jerk, than snort 'til I turn blue
I rather be a jerk, I rather be a jerk

 that's gold!!!!

@ Neil - Kind of ironic that you ended a reply about being "tongue in cheek" with "wouldn't it have made more sense ot use the internet"

IE - my thread was not meant to be serious. No,I am not familiar with FK, but from what you guys mention of them, I assumed they were not the most serious band. I saw these lyrics online, and posted them to generate a "tongue in cheek" conversation.

The Honey You're a Nazi lyrics were based on a true story....The song was also titled something else, which I will not repeat here, as it's trouble.....:zombie:

Comic Book Dude pretty much hit the nail on the head. All the guys are smart, funny, and have the patience of saints :saint:

Of course, I can't say anything bad about them, except they haven't been back to the US since PP VIII...

Probably my favorite tune from them:

Trying hard to keep my cool
Trying hard to forgive
But I've been pushed around too long
Drained on my will to live
Don't provoke me, I'm a desperate man

You don't wanna know, where I'm gonna go
You don't wanna see, the ugly side of me
Let it all come down, burn it to the ground
You don't wanna see, the ugly side of me

Rigid mind, hollow soul
Never thought it'd come to this
Years of scorn makes you numb
You've kissed your last Judas kiss

Don't provoke me, I'm a desperate man

You dont wanna know, where I'm gonna go
You don't wanna see, the ugly side of me
Let it all come down, burn it to the ground
You don't wanna see, the ugly side of me
Side!
You dont wanna know, where I'm gonna go
You don't wanna see, the ugly side of me

He-ey...

Causing damage to protect myself
My stinking pride has never
Done me any good
Always defensive, Im not strong enough
To show my weakness,
Though I wish to God I could
To God I could...

Don't provoke me
Don't provoke me
Don't provoke a desperate man

You don't wanna know, where I'm gonna go
You don't wanna see, the ugly side of me
Let it all come down, burn it to the ground
You don't wanna see, the ugly side of me
You don't wanna know (you don't wanna know),
Where I'm gonna go (where I'm gonna go)
You don't wanna see (you don't wanna see),
The ugly side of me
Let it all come down (let it all come down),
Burn it to the ground (burn it to the ground)
You don't wanna see (you don't wanna see),
The ugly side of me
The ugly side, of me
The ugly side of me

I've been listening to them on and off for a few years now and I *still* can't decide whether I dig these guys music or not. That's pretty impressive.

Jasonic,

If you get a kick out of the band's lyrics, I would highly suggest listening to their songs to see how those lyrics are applied and what music serves as their backdrop. They're clearly not for everybody, but those who are into them absolutely love them.

Stay metal. Never rust.

Hrmmm...
To be honest, I am not sure what I think.
Kind of seems like something that could have been huge mid-90's on MTV to be honest.

I think the lyrics are clever but the music and vocals are rather meh. I will still check more out, as I do appreciate their "tongue in cheek" approach. I am sure they are a blast live tho.
