Are Digidesign/Avid up to something?

so...

I got the trial version of PT-MP to give it a whirl, for it to run i needed a new audiophile delta driver, which I installed...

i finish up playing with PT-MP and try to run cubase SX3... and lo and behold the driver appears to be incompatable with cubase!

Is it just me or does this smell very fishy?

You should post it in the DUC and see what Digi has to say about it.

did you try restarting your computer and then opening cubase? Digidesign locks out its hardware drivers to keep other programs from using them while they are running and perhaps when you shut down it didnt free up the drivers. it happens to me all the time dude, i just restart.

Yes i'd allready restarted, anyhow i rolled back to last years driver and now cubase works fine.

I'll get the full version of PT-M anyway as it seemed nice enough, there has to be a workaround somewhere.
