I'm in the process of buying pups for my RGA 8 and very interested in the Blackouts.

Do you guys think that they're worth the price(20€ more than the 808's)?

And I remind smthg like just to buy 2 neck ones because of the ridicioulsy high output of the bridge ones?!

Off for work:wave:

For 8's?

For 6's nothing beats a 81, IMO, but the 808 is basically a 85, which I don't really like soo much.

Other option is smthg from Bareknuckle but I don't like all the hype about them.
Di Marzio, hmm... The style sucks...

I'm pretty much into the After the Burial tone, dunno...

Don't confuse me Ermz ;)

Just one I guess?!
I wannal replace the fugly Ibanez ones fully, don't wonna swap just the half.

Which ones are in your git now Sacha?

Can anyone confirm that the bridge Pup is not cool?
I'm not able to find the post where someone stated that pretty much every user(esp. AtB) just uses the neck ones...

I'm really really not sure(never happened before), don't wanna make a huge swap action, just a smooth change.

Just one yeah. I'm using the 808X now. The SD sounded pretty cool just too much output and aggression for this guitar, it's very resonant already.

Also another price-league, I don't wanna spent 195€ for one pup, thanks for the heads-up, though...

Did you like the EMG's better than the blackouts?

Maybe someone can chime in for the neck/bridge thingy?! PLEASE!

Just for the info:
Ordered a 808X for the bridge and an 808 for the neck.
Biggest plus is that the 808X comes with the solderless kit, that basically was the main point for the decision:lol:

Can you flip flop the 808x and 808 to try them in both positions and report on the difference here afterwards?

I'd like to know how the 808x sounds compared to the 808...

Sure, but it could take a little while, working full-fulltime and time is short.
Best way would be to record a little riff for a chilly comparision...

I don't even know what the difference is(except Alnico V's in the 808X's), really looking forward to find out and get RID of the stock pup's.
