The writer doesn't need to take responsibility for his or her writing. People need to take responsibility for themselves. Writing is personal expression. If you get so choked up that you need to kill yourself because of a song someone else wrote, you have just lost the game of life.
THere is this ridiculous fear of death in western culture these days. People die, everday. It happens. Some with good reason, some with stupid reason. Either way it's going to happen. The writer should write what he or she wants to write. The reactions of stupid people should not be his/her concern.
