Artwork for ICED EARTH'S, FRAMMING ARMAGEDDON revealed.

One thing I've always loved about Iced Earth, dispite whatever you way feel about it's changing vocalists, is that every album cover is EPIC AS FUCK!

One of the things I feel I missed out on with being one of the younger metalheads out there, is the days of awesome album covers when vinyl was still the medium of choice. Evertime I look at an IE cover, it feels like it captures the spirit of the days of old.

Yeeeeeeaaaahhhh I'm gonna have to go ahead and stay awake until Saaaaaaturday so I don't fall asleep and see Set Abominae at the foot of my bed, mmkaaaaaaaayyy....

This looks fucking great! That one alongside new Riverside, Pure Reason Revolution and Circus Maximus are the albums I'm looking forward to the most this year!!!

I agree. I wish it was still as easy to go to the music store and pick out an awesome heavy metal album solely based on the cover art. Sometimes you can do this, but too frequently I find myself picking up a new CD trying to use the band name or artwork as a guideline for trying something new, only to find out that it is some sort of industrial, hardcore, nu-metal or other variation of crap I don't like. :bah:

This is certainly a sweet album cover!
I wasn't as fond of the Glorious Burden, but if the look of this album cover is any indication that Iced Earth is ready to tear it up again, then I'll raise two horns for that!

As a looooong time IE fan, I'm looking forward to the new album(s) as well. Anyone get the single w/the trilogy rerecorded w/Ripper on vox? I like the new song on there alot but I just do not care for the way they reworked those 3 songs. I'm sure it's partly due to having Barlow's vocal nuances engrained in my head after several years of listening to 'em, but I think another part of it is the way the drums and guitars sound so tight and compressed, the songs just don't "breathe" vs. the Something Wicked/Barlow versions. They sound stiff, stifling, and starched. Anyway, back to thread topic, the artwork is killer, but when, aside from possibly the S/T original artwork, has IE's art ever been found lacking?

The art is pretty f'n sweet...

But, is it me, or does it seems like ever since MacFarlane did Spawn with his unique drawing styles, EVERYONE started to draw like him???

that's right I use to work in a comic book store forever & a day ago (macfarlane, great artist, even bigger egomaniac... not a very nice guy... And I was a fan until that moment...)

Off the soap box...
