I've looked around a little bit, not much, but does anyone know off hard who does the artwork for DT or if there is a specific name for that type of work?

Niklas Sundin is the man behind DT's artwork, I don't know too much about graphic arts, perhaps you should take a look at Cabin Fever Media site.

what he did for 'Character'(and in your sig.) reminds me of Yves Tanguy -

See if you can find Damnengine on there. He is one hell of a computer art dude. his stuff is similar to Sundin's... maybe not as intricate though, but similarly ambiguous and spectacular.
