well it looks more and more that the legendary Aerosmith is near a career crossroads

it's all throwing verbal shots back and forth now

my favorite group has been reduced to soap opera tabloid shit-slinging bullshit

oh well-i was spoiled to think it would never end

don't end it this way dudes:mad:

As I've said many a time in this forum: You think your relationship with your girlfriend is hard, try four. Many bands are businesses in a sense, you hire a guitar player or whatever. Sure you get along, but egos and shit always get in the way, as well as life in general.

One guy says "c'mon I wanna tour" and another guy says "sorry, but I can't leave my life for 3 months right now" and then it fucks everything up. Plus, imagine spending 20 years with the same people - if you're not the best of friends, it can get really nasty. Especially when the press is watching your every move.

I'll just say this: as a member of a band (and I've been so of several) keeping them together is incredibly hard. Not only does everyone have his or her job that needs to get done (ie. playing drums) but you also throw creativity and performance into the mix and people's egos and feelings go insane.

^ right on man ! worse than a boy/girl relationship, also equally as painfull in failure because at least at times bonds do form. Then when your pissed off you say stupid shit. My experience has been that the LSD... lead singer disease is the worst, but two guitar players banging heads can be equally as rediculous, still related to whos the boss or frontman issues, then creative writing differences, songs going in a direction the conciever was not hearing.... bla, bla, bla. Four people you need to keep on the same page when two is hard enough. I've seen some really shameless battles... we all laugh our asses off about them today.

And the four mothers-in-law

Now seriously, last time I cross along news it seems they're not splitting, but while Steve is recovering from something, the rest want to go on the road with another singer, beats me what the fuck is all about.

Not a fan of them but I believe that out of dignity they should find a better way.

thank you all for your replies!
poundingmetal and razoredge put it in better perspective:headbang:

also, like Wyvern says -WTF!

an interesting development according to boneradio.com;
1. Steve Tyler auditioned for Zeppelin!????
2.Joe Perry reportedly asked Paul Rodgers(Free,badco.)if he is interested in Lead singer opening!!

BUT WHATEVER!!

let the chips fall as they may
:headbang::kickass::)

That would make Rogers like the all time freelance rock vocalist

I heard mention of someone last week about singing for Aerosmith but cant remember who.

Im surprised neither band has approached Sammy to be honest but I wouldnt want to see him go for it, either one.

WTF why dont they just get Jagger... :rolleyes:

Time for em all to give it a rest IMO.
