Asmegin - Arv

Anyone on here into Asmegin?

Never heard them before, just listened to their new album "Arv" and I gotta say I'm really impressed! Certainly not a style for everyone, I guess kind of like folk metal or viking metal. Really a unique sound, almost like Hollenthon meets Unexpect.

I just noticed that it doesn't look like the CD is out yet. According to Amazon, the CD won't be available until Jan 2009. However, the MP3 album is available now for download (which is how I got it, love those Pepsi points!). This album is incredible, easily one of the top ten releases this year. If you don't mind a little violin, accordion, and Norwegian Folk mixed in with your black metal then you definitely need to check this one out!
