Anyone love this band as much as I do. They're amazing. I wish they would come to Calgary. That would be a killer show!

For me, Asphyx are gods. In my top 5 from death metal besides Pestilence, Bolt Thrower and a couple of more.
Every Asphyx album is overwhelming but specially I´d like to praise "The rack" and "Last one on earth", death metal epitomes. It´s unfair not talking about the rest of their career (maybe "God cries" is the "less glorious" album). Even, when they changed their name to Soulburn (first cooperation with Wannes Gubbels) they released the excellent "Feeding on angels".
The doom parts and dark atmospheres are trademarks in Asphyx sound. It´s a pity that Wannes left the band after recording their comeback albm "Death... the brutal way" (great!!!). Obviously Martin van Drunen is Asphyx singer but they could have played some songs from WAnnes era.
