I'm downloading... er, acquiring it anyway. The guys on the x64 forums said if you kill UAC it doesn't have issues, usually. The first thing I DID when installing this was turn UAC off.
They need to fix the way you exit the game, however. You have to logout like three times due to the fact that it's told from two different perspectives. Weird.
gameplay sucked dick.
It's coming, but the patch isn't ready yet. Apparently, they just ported it directly to the PC without any patches or anything...but that's the only thing that I had trouble with...it's been running great so far.
Alt+F4 n00bl3t.
What exactly about the gameplay "sucked dick"? I thought it was all very fluid and combat was simple yet brilliant.
Nah, they had plenty of testing... several beta versions leaked online at various points, all of them crashing more than the last due to their attempts at fixing shit.
They pretty much gave up on making it flawless, as their team had too much porting trouble (granted, you'd think XNA would make these things much easier, considering that was part of its intent), and essentially have left it a buggy steaming pile of game.
It was boring and repetitive? Go to this city and kill this guy, after talking to some other douche. Follow this guy for 5 minutes and then listen in on his conversation, etc. etc. etc.
Killing beggers did not make up for that.
Mine runs perfectly...but then again, I'm running twin dual core 3.00 Gig processors, 2 gigs of RAM and a GeForce 8800 GTS with 512mb of RAM...the new one with the new processor that runs faster than the one with the 600-something gigs of RAM. It's not even breaking a sweat. No slowdown whatsoever...even with Crysis.
You have an E8400 too? or a quad?
Heh, its not the slowdowns and what not thats buggy (to me atleast). I have no need to complain about that, similar specs and what not... (little more RAM though)...
Problem is in the games coding. Poorly ported game = crashy crashy. Some people get lucky, other people get fucked in the ass. It all depends on how your computer interprets it.
I've actually never had any problems with Ubisoft...Ghost Recon works like a charm, not even patched. I have to be careful here, though...usually games are multi-lingual, but sometimes you'll get fucked with just Italian language, like I did with Crysis. I downloaded the english file from a torrent site and it ended up being english language, Russian titles and subtitles.
Anyone remember Deus Ex? I finished both 1 and 2 and it's still my favorite FPS/RPG.
