For those of you willing to get out of bed at around 5:30 AM your local
time you will have an opportunity to see another astronomical event in
the sky - an occultation of Venus, Mars, and the Moon.
They will be very close together in the East-Southeast around 5:30 AM.
The Moon is easy to spot (can you see most of the Moon, even though it
is actually close to New Moon Phase? It's called Earthshine). Venus is
the brighter "starlike" object next to it and Mars is the reddish,
dimmer object nearby as well.
