Just as I thought the well was going dry, Claus pointed this one out to me.

Quality stuff...

Note that Claus plays a pretty mean rythm guitar.

Holy crap...that is Carsten Frank from Galloglass!!! I am a huge fan of his vocal prowess. Thanks for the heads up on Athorn...sounds pretty tasty!!!

I think that I can get into this. Only hearing the full album will tell how strong their songwriting is, but the sound works.

Indeed it is Carsten Frank. I also enjoy Galloglass, and this has more balls than them. Dig.

it is OK....I like my power metal flamboyant and without balls though. I really liked both Gallowglass disc. I just came across them again last night when I was reorganizing my CD's. I totally forgot about them. Not that impressed with what is in the vid. Hopefully they have more range than this.

I liked it, had kinda an Iced Earth-ish feel to it, might be picking this one up.

This sounds nice enough, but due to the drummer only having one bass drum I'm going to have to add them to the "False Metal' catagory in that rad thread doing the rounds at the moment.

True metal these days is triple bass drum.

I like it. I also liked the Gallowglass albums.
Carsten Frank does a fine job on "Eternal Empire" by Human Fortress, but a lot of people didn't like that album since it's such a departure from their previous efforts. Their loss, IMO.
