Well I just listen to Atrocity's "Hallucinations" and I have to say coming from Roadrunner this album kicked ass. Old school death that I feel if very under rated and is very overlooked by death metal enthusiasts.

Anybody have feeling on Atrocity? state them here.

Hallucinations is a cool album. I have a test-press LP of it. Todessehnsucht is cool too. My favourites are Willenskraft and Atlantis. Blut, Calling the Rain and Werk 80 are the worst ones. The The Hunt MCD is very cool too.

Hallucinations and Todessehnsucht are classics-underrated landmarks in technical death.. The latter features more focused and memorable songwriting, but both are superb. Atlantis leans more towards the experimental/gothic metal and it's actually quite accomplished. Not for everyone though.

Hallucinations and Todessehnsucht(longing for death) are indeed great.

Not familiar with Hallucinations, but Atlantis was bar none the best release of the year whenever it came out a couple of years back.

Bone crushing guitars a la Behemoth mixed with elite songwriting, super catchy hooks, gothic tunes, touches of black metal, 80's style clean vocals and sweet rough growls...just a super albumn from top to bottom. Every song is different from the last. Places high on the repeat value of a CD compared to 99.9999% of other bands out there.

Out of my 500+ CD's, I would rank Atlantis in the top 20 ever for me.

I saw them a few nights ago, they are ok imo, didnt inspire me to go out and but any of their releases though. Top stage performance though.,

I really like Atrocity's first two albums. They stopped playing metal, and most recently started playing metal again, but this time of the industrial variety.
That's not true. B.L.U.T. wasn't very good, but it still have some metal songs. Then they made two non-metal albums, one folk album and one industrial rock album (which was very good). Afterwards they released Willenskraft which featured some of their most brutal material to date and the The Hunt MCD, which was a great piece of death metal aswell. Then they went away from metal and made a cover album of 80s pop songs, followed by an industrial metal album. And then they returned to death metal with Atlantis.
