Heya guys
So a good friend and I got together in June and took a week to write some songs and record them. Ended up writing four songs in six days, 41 hours of writing and recording (not including setup and breaks)
So I've been working on the mix of the first of the songs for a week or so and I'm being massively underwhelmed by how my mix is turning out. The Kick and the synth bass hate each other, so I'm really struggling with that. The guitar tone I'm pretty happy with, but I feel like it sounds cheap and practice ampy on anything small. Also, I hate the toms. The floor tom we used was an 18 and it basically is just turning into a sine-wave of rumble whenever it gets used.
So please, advise away, I am greatly looking forward to any dumb tips I may have missed.
