It is my intention to celebrate my 30th birthday this summer with a bottle of 30 year old something. I'm not terribly particular in this respect, save that it must be distilled in 1977 and bottled in 2007. I'm only concerned with price if it climbs above $1000. What should I buy, and where can I get it?

30 year old Scotch... single malt. My favorite drink I've ever had was a shot of 21 year old scotch on my 21st birthday. It was about $30 for the one show, but i didn't pay, it was free on the bar
