Just (finally) found/got a DT-555:

It's the EVEN MOAAARR rare 1984 version with no locking nut, as well. I guess that isn't really a 'feature' haha, but I don't need a locking nut, especially on that type of tremolo.

In fact people have said the 1984 no-lock version actually stays in tune better.

I agree! My dream guitar. Well my dream guitar was always the 85 model with the locking nut BUT I'm not a nit picker and I'll hopefully have one of those eventually as well =D.

Nah, I can't really motivate another bass playing as little as I do, but I do want one just like that.

'70s and early '80s Ibanez guits/bajos are pure god damn sex. I almost lost my poop over a '79 Musician fretless we had for a spell.

They finally started making them sound good again by using our pickups yaaaaaaaaaaay (in some of the basses anyhow).

Yeah I've been working at http://www.nordstrandpickups.com/ for some years now. Our website sucks but the pickups do not.

We're mostly known for bass stuff but our guitar stuff is pretty awesome, just ask the 7 people that have used them. Thankfully in bassdumb we're relatively well known so I can keep eating and paying the rent.

Definitely do anytime. I like Duncans so I can't say DEF GET OURS BRO SO MUCH BETTER because that is just silly.

Thankfully competition isn't so much A Thing in the music industry which is quite refreshing. Well I mean some companies are dicks but it's certainly not the norm.
