Anyone ever record Vox through one of these? My friend just picked one up and it sounds amazing. It cuts through with lots of clarity and punch, and it cleans up the mud, even with cuppers. I'm guessing due to its 144 SPL rating. I know lots of people record with an SM58 or SM57, so I was curious to see if anyone ever tried one of these on their recordings.

I've used an OM2 on demos before. It's not an OM5, but I'm assuming the two are similar. It's got a bit of a brighter top end than the 57/58 without the upper mid spike. It's a very clear sounding mic, more natural, to my ears at least, than the 57 or 58. I've thrown it on a guitar cabinet and under a snare drum with good results as well. I like it as a live vocal mic for its clarity and feedback rejection.
