This option seems to make no difference regardless of how it's set... Can anyone explain to me how to use it?
The manual says with it turned on, I will only hear what I'm recording when the audio is actually being recorded (ie between punch points, other than that I will hear what is already on the track)
If I have it turned on though, my input is monitored the whole time regardless of the other audio on the track. If I have it turned off it behaves the exact same way, I notice zero difference when I turn it off.
Is there a way in Logic to record enable tracks and control if they are monitored or not? Like I don't always want to hear every track in the headphones when tracking drums, usually just kick and snare. Is there anyway to do this shy of muting/unmuting the tracks every time I switch between playback and record enabling? I know there is the input monitoring levels I can enable and set, but it seems like there should just be a toggle for whether the track is going to be monitored or not...?
