You'll need the passport for the whole event to see the show. The only one day passes available are for the big scene. They'll cost you around 80$ and they're running out. Better hurry and get one if you want to be there.
By the way, they've corrected Voivod's name yesterday.

I think Diamond45 was more talking about dusting his government-issued US passport
As for the festival's pass, there were still 40,000 available as of yesterday (I read that in a local paper). But with the whole programmation now announced, the sales will surely go up in the next coming days, so yes, people from the outside who want to see Avantasia should not wait too much...
Out of curiosity, is anyone going? My tickets and hotel have both been purchased.
I'm a "local" so I'll be there.

That was a really good show. I thought their music came out way better live than on disc. Even if I didn't know the songs well, I thought they had plenty of hooks and the singing was excellent. Oliver Hartmann was particularly great as a singer. This guy deserves more recognition for his voice. He's also a pretty good guitar player.
Besides Hartmann, there was Kiske, Erik Martin, Bob Catley, Tobias Sammet of course, Amanda Sommerville, and another back-up singer which I don't remember the name. Sasha Peath was also on guitar. Great band that would go over incredibly well at PP USA but I figure they most cost a lot. They said they'll be back within a couple years in North America.
Cheers!

You saw Avantasia? I HAD NO IDEA.
don't be a hater. While I am out seeing the world you are sitting home taking pictures of what you are having for dinner.
