My avatar is a guy pulling a nice table-top on a big mountain bike during sunset....so it makes a cool pic being a silhouette of sorts and all.

I did that a couple times and it didn't sound like Malmsteen or Vai or
something, it sounded like I stepped on a cat wearing steel toed motorcycle
boots. _Not_Pretty_.
The stuff I write now is pretty basic acoustic free-flowin' jam stuff.

hahahaha yah i guess it's just a natural gift - i'm pretty much entirely self taught as well.

Um - I'm 17, about to turn 18 pretty soon here - (Jan) so it really depends, usually when I go to help somebody they're between 11 to 16

yes, I played classical for about a year and it really gave me better technique, and it makes for a good relaxation every once in a while, as well as its obvious merit for fucking with people's minds and stereotypes

that's the whole thing for me as "undercover shredder" - i go in and people think i'm gonna play like dave matthews or maybe some really really shitty punk music - but I bust out some Racer X, maybe a little bit of Dream Theater - some Vai and Yngwie, and a few technique excercises compounded with my own stuff and all that. I always make it a point to take a trip to the acoustic room as well (i love playing on a good acoustic)

I just want him to worry about getting the arpeggio down and getting used to the fingering and such. Since he's the rhythm guitarist I won't really go in depth into sweeping them. I'll just say "And this them sweeped *noodles*"

If you're curious they were a Dm7, Cmaj7, Em7 and Fmaj7 arpeggios

<-------This is the biggest spider I had at my house last summer. She was HUGE! Then she ate her boyfriend, and I got her to come out from under the window, so I could snag a photo of her.

Um...can you tell I got some trick photo editing software for christmas? I did. I've been playing with that for days now. But, it doesn't like to edit photo's to make images small enough for avatars. I lucked out on this one.
