Avenged Sevenfold... the gayest band in metal?

A7X (even that sounds gay...) is bubblegum music whose target audience is 12-17 year old girls. Any guy that likes this band is at least a little gay. Overall, they are good musicians....but so is C.C. Deville. :ill:

My boyfriend likes them. I question his sexual orientation.

err... after seeing the festival I just did.... there is always something MORE CHEESY than everything you have ever heard.

(*waits for the Sinister concert on 21st :yow: note: not cheesy )
well, nothing of what you listened to there is more CHEESY than some of the stuff you had already listened in the past. ;)

Its not metal. However, I don't mind a few of their songs, and I've seen them and Atreyu live, and honestly they're not that bad live. They're not good, but they're not bad. Good musicians. Their albums however suck my left testical.

Their music isn't metal, its like a post-emo metalcore kind of thing.

yeah. There are definitely worse bands out there. However, I saw in interview where they were claiming how they were a "Full-on, heavy fucking metal band" and I had to laugh.

Maybe they meant heavy metal in the 'back in the day' sense. Paul Gilbert described racer X as exactly that.

Have any of you guys listened to their entire album? I'm not a fan, but there is some cool stuff in there, apart from the singles.

I heard someone say the other day: "...and I'm still convinced that the chorus to "The Beast and the Harlot" is some kind of joke" ... so true, such a shitty chorus for what could have been a really cool song.

The singer annoys me, but they seem to be able to play. I like the Queen influence in a few of their songs, but the singers 'style' annoys me and ruins it. I just hate that nasal whiney shit. But 13-16 year old girls seem to get into it.

Most american "metal" now a days is pretty shitty if you ask me. Avenged Sevenfold could be worse, and there is a few parts in songs I like, but on a whole I wouldn't say they're very good.
