Awesome vocalist

Has this ever happened to you... at any point in time of your recording experience? I'm sure there's a thread with "your most terrible takes" or something- I was going through an external harddrive and found a session I backed up a while ago. If you know my story, you'll know that I'm currently stuck as a mobile service until I'm more situated. I have been paid to record in the shittiest situations. This band a little over a year ago had me record them in a crowded 10x10 bedroom full of people and shit and a bunk bed- not only were they the worst musicians I've ever had to deal (with a lack of decent equipment as well), they were beyond stubborn. Just entirely set in their ways. No metronome, and the bassist refused to tune to the guitarists. Literally the worst and funniest experiences I've ever gone through. The vocalist was so sure he had his technique NAILED. This is what I got when I hit record

LMFAO @ Widekmusic

the second take at the last half second is the best- his voice just like totally goes out. I edited it with hella crossfades to make it like 2 minutes long

The sad thing is, is that the kid was ranting and raving about that whole zen of screaming thing. That was the first time I had hear of it and he was talking about "fries" and "bowels" instead of high mid and low screams or something- so when the instrumentals were tracked as a hopeless mess I had that last hope that "maybe he was going to be alright from this video I have never heard about"...

I have never heard anyone lose their voice from whisper-vocals... I had to keep my face pressed into the corner of the wall from embarrassment. That and my hands weren't enough to stop the laughter. I felt so shitty.

Does anyone else have clips of serious bands like this that just turned out ridiculously terrible?
