Axe-FX vs Kemper blind comparison

hi forums,

i put up a quick clip comparing the kemper to my axe-fx using the rose of sharyn backing track that was posted in this forum. can't remember who posted it (Jeff, i think), but thanks anyway :-D

so, one clip is a profile of my DIY sloclone through my diezel 4x12 mic'ed with a SM57. no tweaking or post-processing. boosted with my maxon od808 pedal.

the other one is just the 5150 model on the axe with everything else bypassed. then i used ozone to match-EQ to the kemper. this one was also boosted with my maxon od808.

i agree. as i said, this is my first attempt at mic'ing and i have no post-EQ.

i'm still getting used to the kemper's 'feel', but i think it has more potential than the axefx.

Listened before you said what was what, and I picked 1 as well. Although both sound a strange to me, possibly over-gained.. can't quite tell. Too mushy... but 1 hit me more than 2 did.
