As if it wasn't enough that I'm a blind fan of Ayreon, that Jorn Lande and Hansi Kursch are on vocals, now he incorporates Tomas Bodin and Derek Sehrinian on keyboards, that album is SO sold to me already
:worship:notworthy:worship:

P.S BTW I tried to translate the title to decimal and the best will be 089, but my calculator can't cover 01, so maybe it's another name or maybe has not significance at all.

I absolutely worship Ayreon. I can't believe I forgot them in some favorite bands thread somewhere (fucking shoot me...).

Arjen is a musical genius & one of my heroes. "Into the Electric Castle" is one of the best albums ever written.

However, Hansi Kursch can only hurt the final product (agruably one of the worst voices in metal, IMO). Sorry, I know people like him, but I think he's nearly unlistenable.

You're not alone, my friend. I can not stand Hansi's vocals. They great on my nerves equivalent to fingernails on a chalkboard. Not that it matters, I'll be buying this with the same blind devotion that I do with all of Arjen's projects. The man is a genius!

Actually Hansi is one of the best bonus of the album, his voclas are an acquired taste like some like King Diamond or Udo (which I abhors). I love Blind Guardian and Demons & Wizards, so this is a must be for me besides being an Ayreon album.

NP: Saracen - 'Heroes, Saints & Fools'

Maybe its January 1st, 1001

Accurate or not, that's a clever interpretation!

I hope Arjen doesn't really name the album '01011001', because I have no idea how to pronounce it. It would be great for search engines, but in verbal form, what am I to do with that?

"Have you heard about the newest Ayreon project?" I ask my imaginary, somewhat clued-in, friend.

"What's the album called?" he asks.

"um.... hang on a second, I need to get this right...okay, here we go... zero one zero one one zero zero one."

"... okay," my friend pauses. "How do you pronounce that guy's name again?"

That's my point, it's too confusing for an album title. Works great for the web and a keyboard, but in spoken words, it is going to be confusing to say the least. I think Arjen has to clarify this at some point before the album is released, so we're all on the same page when we pronounce it verbally among friends and acquaintances.

This kind of music is widely under appreciated here. They put a Katatonia & Arch Enemy thread in the other forum & they get 6 pages of replies.

I don't give a fuck what it's called. If it's going to have a special edition with a DVD I'm all over. Call the album "Horse Shit" if you want to.
