I saw Alice and his band last week in Belgium at the Schwung Festival and they were better than ever! Killer setlist including a 70's part (including an awesome rendition of "Steven"), perfect line-up (with Eric Singer on fire behind the kit!), crystal clear sound and obviously a theatrical performance full of surprises, otherwise it wouldn't be a Cooper show ;)
The guillotine is back... :heh:

My best gig of the year so far! (tied with Deep Purple)

DIO was also on the billing and The Voice of Metal ruled as usual, having renewed the setlist with "I" from Dehumanizer, "All the Fools Sailed Away" from Dream Evil and other unusual cuts from the first 2 records ("I Speed at Night", "Gypsy", "One Night in the City", etc.). Craig Goldy was spot on (even though less flashy than Aldrich) and Rudy Sarzo brings energy to the new line-up.
When they start off with "Children of the Sea", you know it's going to be a memorable gig... :worship:

I enjoyed STATUS QUO as well, the atmosphere was stunning in the crowd but I must admit I didn't stay 'til the end of the gig. I think the samey rythm in almost every song bores me a little bit in the end... Class band anyway, they deserve so much respect for still being entertainers at their age.

TED NUGENT played earlier in the afternoon, a good and intense performance as well. Even though his speechs during and between songs were beyond ridiculous...
Nothing special as far as the setlist goes (maybe "Dog Eat Dog"?), the Nuge rocked the house and played freaking loud! The bass player also sang on a tune if I remember correctly.

I missed the previous bands but hey, that was drinking time :D :kickass:

Nice!!! Nuge is still rambling on huh:erk: Alice Cooper comes back here in October I think and we know who defo will go with me to that show!!

Glad to hear you had a great time!

The Coop and Dio on the same bill? I do hate you Flo :p

Hope I can see Alice live one day...

Well, I would have been there if I could take time off from work, but gotta choose the weekends a bit... it's all getting too busy this month with live gigs ...

I saw the Coop around last halloween good show for sure i hope he at least
he talked to audience he hardly said a word here in indpls be he did have
a really killer set although.
He rarely talks to the audience between songs indeed, that's part of the Alice Cooper character on stage :) I see him more as an actor than just a rock frontman in fact.

Exactly, the Alice character is just that...a character that Vince Furnier portrays on stage. It is rock n roll vaudeville, if you will, and one of the best shows you will ever see.

Last time I saw him, a couple of years ago, he did it.

I saw Alice last Saturday at Monsters Of Rock got to within the front five rows and unfortunately ended up stood amongst all the idiots in the crowd so half my attention was taken up trying not to get knocked down/trying to restrain myself from hitting the guy that kept on singing the lyrics to poison over every other song (having a pint of piss hit me from behind didn't do much for my temprament either) but what I managed to see was good and he sounded great he must have gone through about six different costume changes which I though was pretty amazing.

He didn't make it to the top of my list for band of the day but had I been undistracted maybe he would have done. The other bands on the day were Roadstar (british rockers formerly known as Hurricane Party an awesome way to kick start the show)
Ted Nugent (music sounded great but to me his songs didn't seem to have any substance took us down a step from the high tat we'd been given by Roadstar)
Queensryche (good performance but I wasn't really familiar with the material)
Thunder (only knew a couple of their songs but that didn't matter I was soon clapping and singing along to the choruses with the rest of the crowd)
Journey (my band of the day beautifully done ballads along with some good rockin' tunes amazing.)
Alice Cooper (see above hoping to get some good photos when they're developed though)
Deep Purple (Sat on the hill chiling out while these were on sounded good and a nice way to finish the day)

Yes he does :)
The whole Welcome to My Nightmare / "horror" part of the gig is awesome!

That was my third Cooper show and the best one so far, I just love the 70's atmosphere on this tour.

That's so cool! :kickass: I'd love to see him again and that setlist sounds right up my alley. I've seen him three times as well. The first was on the Constrictor tour.
