Hi Andy

As I can see in the Testament gathering video the backings sing that "Oh oh oh" without headphones but I can hear the sound. Did you use a monitor in the room to guid the singers? There are no problems with this sound in the backing tracks?

If I remember right then he reduced the monitor sound on each oh-oh-oh like a human ducker.
So there is not so much crosstalk when they sing. In between you can cut or gate.

I hate working with headphones so a singer must stay behind the window...

sorry, I dont think so, that ducking you hear on the video is the comp of the camera I think.

no its the camera mic, I just left the control room door open, so we could all hear and got in on the oh's. Cant resist a bv when I get a chance. You can get away with the noise, I'll sometimes do main vox in the control room with a 58 and monitors cranked, anything to get the right attitude.
