Bad Song

uh...
There's a couple I'm not too keen on, but none I'd call bad, just average.
I mean, if you want to go back to some of the bonus tracks on Verus the World, there's some stuff that may or may not come close (haven't listened to it in a while and I remember it being meh) but definitely not any real stinkers. Excessive consistency ftw.

Can't really think of one. I don't really like the vocals so much on the first release or two....but I still thought the songs were great. Took Johann a while to find his voice.

you don't like the vocals on the first two releases? are you serious?

Calm down, I don't hate them or anything....I just don't like them AS MUCH as the newer styles. I'm more of a heavier (brutal, whatever you wanna call it, I hate labels) death metal fan anyways, so the lower vocals are more powerful in my opinion. I still dig the old shit from AA, it just took me some time to accept it.

well said!
i think thats the difference between fans of old Amon, and fans of new Amon,

nothing tops the old Amon

OSFGH FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The older vocals seem a bit more black metallish and raspy (which is cool), but come on....the newer material is better produced, more full, and crushing. I first heard AA in 2000 roughly and couldn't stand them for a long time until I bought The Crusher (in 2005 I think) on a whim, and though I still thought it was kinda boring in comparison to other bands, I enjoyed it more than OSFGH. Once I bought Vs. The World, my entire outlook on the band changed, and I picked up the rest of their discography. I've since learned to enjoy the old material as well, but nothing beats VTW forward.

I have to agree with S.U.A.D.: Johan's vocals were great on the first couple (the shouting on victorious march was brilliant) but his performance on Twilight was fucking godlike.

Dunno if I would call some of their stuff bad, because epic vikingness is pretty much always good, I do think they are very repetitive though...would be nice if they went a bit more in the Death Metal direction in the future

I personally wasn't too huge a fan of Fate of Norns. I don't think it was "bad" or "sucked" but it was probably my least favorite album.

same opinion as many others here...not a single bad song...but some that just don't reach the quality of the others

but I can think a song that I really don't like.
Eyes of Horror...from beginning to the end this song just doesn't sound like AA...
but it's a Cover so it's not AA's fault that this song sucks ;)
