Badass Bass Sound

Hey guys!

Been listening to that old (1993) Scorpions Face the Heat album and is it just me or is the bass sound very very badass?! Any comments (do you even like it or am I nuts) or ideas on how to get this kind of tone? I know that the bass player Ralph Rieckermann played a Yamaha of some kind RBX or TRB.

The early/mid '90s were interesting, with a lot of butt-rock standards "growing up" a bit and making some interesting shit. This particular Scorps record was one of them. Of course, most went back to cheese about rocking you.

Love the bass sound on this track/record though. Also, bass+talkbox = awsome:

Sounds like a blended clean/dirty channel mix. The low of end of the bass is fairly clean but there's a fair bit of grind on the top.
