Balanced to Unbalanced?

while routing drums through my ff400s balanced outs
to a delay stompbox and back, via guitar amp and mike
or directly to the interface, i get hefty ground noise.
DI's seem to provide only the other way round, unbalanced
to balanced. would a stereo cable solve this?

And in answer to your question, a reamp box (Radial ProRMP, Little Labs Redeye, Cuniberti Reamp) would actually be the best thing, I think, cuz you're going from a low-impedance balanced output (FF400) to a high-impedance unbalanced input (delay pedal), and the reamp box could go between and probably solve your woes.
