Band #7 Confirmed

Don't get the DVD... major dissapointment. I know Mac was having vocal problems but the dubbed singing defeats the purpose of a "live" dvd.

From the sound sample I have heard, I kind of expect the same response that Thunderstone had last year.

I can't say I hate the music, but I find it fairly generic at this point. Let's see if a live performance changes my mind though.

-Metal

Having seen both bands, I've gotta give the nod to Threshold, and by quite a bit. Going into Threshold's preformances, I was expecting to be underwhelmed, but was fairly well blown away and converted into a fan by set's end. With Thunderstone, I had high expectations, yet ended up being bored to tears. Very glad to see Threshold returning this year, and expect great things once again...

WOOOOOOOT!!!!!

HELL YEAH!!!!!

AWESOME!!!!!!!

*jumps up and down and throws horns like a mad woman*

this is what happens when your IT at work blocks the PP site and all I know is that I got an email saying new band announced and to head to the site.....:erk:

:p

RIGHT THE FUCK ON! And oh HAAAAYYYYYLLL to the YES!

This ProgPower is shaping up for me to be PRogPowerRMTO.....

Scott best bring a sponge and a bucket...cause if Glenn books any more of saome of my fave bands...I'll be nothing but a flat chested puddle of happy wetness :)

I'm pretty psyched about seeing Threshold again too! I love their music. I thought they put on a solid show last time. They're not an Edguy or Brainstorm type of act/show, but they do their thing really well live. Kind of like Sonata, they sound really solid live.

I agree with others: Hypothetical is their strongest from what I have heard.

For some reason I have never been able to get into them, and I have two albums. Which one in the opinion of you guys is the best one of all? They definitely deserve another chance, and I'm looking forward to once again check them out.

I believe this is a solid choice, and lots of people are happy. Maybe until the fest comes I'll be a Threshold fan too.

Dude, check out Hypothetical! :) It's REALLY good.
I love that album! :)

And the dubbing was so poorly done...
Shut your eyes and it sounds sweet... but when the lips are matching the words it's a bit painful.
Mac was kind of an ass in that vid too...

YEA!!!! Slip and Slide!!!!!

I wonder with Threshold being announced, if that affects Enchant's chances.

With no new disc, and what looks like no new one for quite some time, I don't think Enchant has a chance at PP. Plus, like someone else said, they're not a headliner for this festival. Maybe once they finally get a new disc out they'll have a shot at a 3rd slot at a future PP...

I have been a fan of Threshold since the Wounded Land album in 2003.
I'm not sure how their relationship is but, it would be incredibly cool if Damian Wilson made a special appearance and sang a song or two.
Wishful thinking I know...

Awesome!!! They were great last time. I will leave the time slot thing alone:u-huh: I'm just excited I will be seeing them again. This is shaping up to be one hell of a year. Now if Helloween is announced as the headliner, I will be in my glory!!!

2003:Smokin: ... I hate to break it to you, but Wounded Land came out in the 90's bro. And I have been a huge fan since then. I would kill to see Damian Wilson sing live...

By the way. People who havent seen Threshold are going to treated to one of the best drum performances of any PPUSA from Johanne James, that guy is just simply awesome!!!!

Bear

You are dead on, bro. This guy is one of the most entertaining drummers I've ever watched.

I suppose one could always cross their fingers for a showcase slot....
