Lol @ recommending a totally generic band like Dark Fortress and saying Cardinal Sin and Dissection are overrated...
How about Algaion? Abit more straight black metal but leans towards the classic swedish melodic style. They are awsome anyway.

Dissection is overrated.
As far as similar bands Dark Fortress is one of the best fucking recommendations.

You have to be kidding. There's nothing good, distinctive, or interesting about Dark Fortress. Like Vilden said, they are totally fucking generic. Way, way better bands have already been recommended in this thread.
