Band's you would't want to see at 04

yeah so long as the classics aint like that saracen or what ever they were really bad :( i couldnt stick it i had to go out to the stall and buy some proper music. cost me £60 the bastards. but what a selection it was like a kid in a sweet shop.

yea i agree, saracen were out of it, the guitarist was ded, the keyboardist had a permanent frown, the bassist looked like a guy from wetlife or sumfink and well the drummer was ok, he werent bad actually, he moved mroe than ne of the others, apart from the singer who did well but with the other guys he just looked out of place

Lee Morris of Paradise Lost was in semi NWOBHM Marshall Law and currently he's helping them out to record new material and they can kick any power metal bands in the WORLD. Because of media and record company snub ( Calling them Priest clone! ) they never recieved much attention apart from REAL metal fans. Their Best Of album "POWER CRAZY" is out now from Sanctuary label. And I've been listning to POWER CRAZY for past 6 months!!!! 6 MONTHS! No joke it's been on my CD and MD player!!!!!

Cool, the guy on drums before Lee Morris, Mick Donovan, was my drum tutor. Good to see Marshall Law mentioned.

I thought Saracen were ok actually. Singer had a good voice, the guitarist could play - he wasn't the fastest but his bends and vibratos and handling of melody could blow a lot of other speed merchants away. The bassist was solid and who cares what he looks like so long as he can play! As for the drummer - yeah, he was pretty good. They fitted into the fest more than some others who seemed a bit 'lost'.....:Smug:

I waited and got front for masterplan and edguy, but saracen made my wait enjoyable! Age does not maketh man a bad metalist!

Bands I wouln't want to see at Bloodstock next year...

1. Any punk, grunge, alternative, nu-metal or any other form of FALSE METAL band.

2. Any band that played this year (although I'd welcome back virtually any of the acts from this year's main stage for Bloodstock 05, especially Saxon, Blaze and Masterplan)

3. Any band who are more AOR or prog rock than they are metal.

more power metal, less death/black stuff, a few more classic bands too, like h,, i dunno TWISTED MUTHA FUKIN SISTER!! or dio?

nufing wrong with stratovarious either, good power metal band

What do you mean- there was barely any black/death metal - only Cruel Humanity really fits that bracket and they were 1 band from how many power metal bands?? There needs to be more variation not less!
I don't mind there being so much cheese metal but only as long as they balance it with some more extreme bands next time!

Well the guitarist had the only Gibson Custom shop Tony Iommi SG I've seen other than mine and he had a Tony Iommi Laney stack so he's OK by me. Plus I thought they were great. Very '80s but so what. There were enough samey no-hopers on the bill.

i loved saracen, thought they where great the music was cool :)
paradise lost, hope to never see em at bloodstock again... they didnt seem to fit in, they attitude sucks and the music was jus all to samy, it didnt feel like they swiched trax once... felt like metallica saint anger, the style changes a lil here and there but not the track lol:)

Hiya! Actually I bought Law In The Raw album so I could get Lee's autograph but they ( Paradise Lost ) didn't do any signing session!!!! :-(

I bought first Marshall Law album with Mick Donovan and it's exellent!!

When you got albums like Metal Detector or Warning From History you don't need other power metal band! Expect Gamma Ray.

How about some variety for 04 Power Metal is great no question, but how about a couple of Thras,Death, Black, doom metal acts. There's plenty of great band's out there that fit this bill.
