Bands you've always wntd to see live. But have yet to do so.

Slick Rick

:kickass: :kickass:

i've seen
blind guardian
symphony x
priest
queensryche

and uhh local (?) bm bands that mostly sucked (one idiot covered his perfectly acceptable bathory goat shirt with a ridiculous hooded gown that didn't fit well at all). except warmoon, they were alright and what they lacked in sounding good they made up for in self-mutilation

I'm a huge fan (that's their worst album by approximately 14 billion x) ;)

For whatever reason, something constantly gets in the way of my seeing them. It's not like they never play NY or NJ (like 15 shows in the past 5 years alone).

The only other SD I own is the S/T. WL,WH,WT stomps on that one. "Down Here" being my fav song of the litter.

You work hard now
To put the food on the table
You're working for the men
Who don't even know your name
That's the way that it goes
When you're down here with the rest of us
You might lose now
Your beautiful children
Your happy home, yeah
And your beautiful wife
That's the way that it goes
When you're down here with the rest of us

You'll suffer hard now
As you bury
Your loved ones
You'll suffer hard now
When you lose your best friend
That's the way that it goes
When you're down here with the rest of us
That's the way that it goes
And I know how you feel

No ones immune now
To a world of problems
No ones exempt now
From a world of pain
That's the way that it goes
When you're down here with the rest of us

I try hard now
To do the right thing
Yet I wonder
Why I still do what's wrong
That's the way that it goes
When you're down here with the rest of us
That's the way that it goes
And I know how you feel

at the gates
in flames (jester race era setlist)
death

perhaps some day:
Electric Wizard
Bongzilla
Deströyer 666
converge (though the crowd might be anoying)

i know im missing some, and i can think of tons more bands that i love that i havent seen, but i dont really know if the live show would be able to carry the magic/atmosphere/whatever of the albums into a live setting.

In order, from greatest to worstest SD albums:

Mommy's Little Monster
Prison Bound
Somewhere Between Heaven & Hell
Social Distortion
White Light, White Heat, White Trash
Sex, Love and Rock n' Roll

special mention to: Live At the Roxy, one of the all-time great live rock records

sure it is.

although a buyer should realize it's their very earliest recordings, maybe while they were still in high school.
