The Man Behind The Mayhem
THIS WEEK ON YOUR CLASSIC METAL SHOW: This week on THE CLASSIC METAL SHOW, we'll venture back to the Sunset Strip with two bands that broke out from there and had success as solid second-tier bands in the 80s. First and foremost, CMS friend Joe LeSte returns to the fold with a new Bang Tango album called FROM THE HIP. Last we heard from Joe, he recorded an exclusive CLASSIC METAL SHOW session with his "other" band, Beautiful Creatures which absolutely rocked. Now, he's back with his original project and rockin' hard! We'll do a New Music Listening Party for FROM THE HIP, and we're scheduled to have Joe LeSte on the show as well to talk about it.

Additionally, another band that had a good amount of success, then faded away, is now back at it once again. Faster Pussycat were kings of the strip at one point, before de-evolving into The Newlydeads. They have done away with the industrial flavor of that project and returned to rockin' once again. We'll do a New Music Listening Party for their latest, THE POWER AND THE GLORY HOLE, and we're going to see if we can't make contact with Brett Muscat and Taime Downe of the band to talk about it.

Finally, after a few near misses, we think we have a good line on Geoff Tate from Queesnryche this week. As the tour supporting OPERATION MINDCRIME II continues, Geoff and company have really made a big comeback in the face of an otherwise hostile musical environment for their brand of quality music. We'll speak to Geoff about how the tour is going, and what's next for one of the truly elite bands in all of Classic Metal.
